Dreams of Water
I'm sailing in the
dream lake
just me and mother sun
and the kisses that you send me
i hug them one by one
i send them back against the wind
and hope they'll make it through
through the great blue
and on they come to you
The night has fallen on
the water
revealing countless stars
the nights are getting longer as i further down south
shall my journey take me to some place completely new
there i'll be reborn - and born again for you
Now i want to pass on
the stories of the sea
of all the sunken dreams of the deep
a mermaid or a princess from long forgotten ship
has surfaced to tell them to me
lighting the dark water
glowing at the moon
suddenly becoming a demon and a queen
Back home my baby
waiting
she's thinking just of me
among the endless water
she is everywhere for me
such as pleasant comfort in a long and lonely day
hope that she is made of flash
and not of fantasy
Another day is ending
as the sun dives to the sea
i'm writing down a few words
they are jumping back at me
some day i'm gonna turn the wheel
and back out to the port
but the man that boarded long ago
Since long ago been gone
